meltinpop is a social platform for collaborative playlists, a new way of experiencing music, culture and social media. Use meltinpop to invite friends, and create together music playlists about any topic in the world. Share and discover music and video clips through the things you love.

A theme is any topic you can think of and want to discover what songs deal with it: cars, cities, colors, partying, animals, stuffed animals, stuffed cabbage, you name it!
What is the difference between a public theme and a restricted theme?
A public theme is for everyone. All users can see, play and listen to all the public themes on the website. A restricted theme is only for the friends you invited. Other users can still view and listen to the restricted themes, as well as vote on songs, but they cannot add items, or comment.
Once you are logged in, click on “Start New Theme”. In the dialogue box that opens, enter the theme’s title, explain what the theme is about and add tags. Add the first song to your new theme! Now invite your friends.
Once you started your new theme, just click on the “invite friends” button on your new theme page. You will then be able to send invites through your different email, facebook and twitter accounts.
When and where can I add items on the website?
Once you started a theme, you can start adding items. You can also add items to any public theme on the website and to restricted themes you were invited to. In order to add items, just click on the theme you want. At the top of each page, you will find boxes for adding your items.
How do I add a youtube link to my items?
meltinpop provides you with an excellent search engine that helps you look for the items you want to add to the theme. Using meltinpop’s search engine ensures that you will be able to play these items on our website.
Why do I need to add a youtube link to my items?
Adding a youtube link enables you not only to compile trivia lists, but also to listen and or watch them on meltinpop, thus doubling your fun!
Why can’t I see the videos of the songs that I uploaded?
When a video you chose does not play on our website, it is because of a copyrights issue. To avoid these problems, use meltinpop search engine when uploading a video from youtube. Our search engine is designed to provide you with youtube clips that you can listen and watch on meltinpop.
What if I want to search youtube on my own?
You are stubborn! If you still want to search youtube independently, you need to see if the video you want to upload can be embedded. At the bottom of the video clip on the youtube page, appears an “embed” button. If you click on it and see a long URL, you are good to go. Copy the link and paste it in the “Drop the youtube URL” box of your new item in meltinpop.
What does the follow button mean?
Clicking the “follow” button allows you to track any theme which you found interesting. Once you clicked the “follow” button, the theme will appear on the “my themes” page within meltinpop.
